Hello ladies
Today I will be reviewing Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers. The shade range of these is amazing and there is one for everyone, especially for Indian skin tones. From bright reds to dolly pinks to nudes and corals, we have so many choices. Rimmel is now easily available in India in some newu
stores, parcos and also online.
What is it?
The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine.
It's neither a lipstick nor a gloss... It's BIGGER than both!
Long Live The Colour!
Price
INR 475
Texture
It's texture is very light. It goes on the lips very smoothly and is evenly pigmented.
Pigmentation
The color pay off is great. In just one swipe you can get the same color as in the tube. I do not suggest more than two swipes as it tends to bleed after that. The pigmentation is good on pigmented lips as well.
Left- Celestial. Right- Aurora |
Shades
Celestial- It is a medium pink shade. Not very bright or barbie pink. Basically, an everyday shade for fair to medium skin ladies. On fair skin, it will look more pink than on medium skin. On darker skin tones, it will look chalky.
Celestial |
Aurora- A warm toned red which will flatter almost every skin tone. It is not one of those 'in your face' red. It is more like a peachy red. It can make a great everyday shade for dusky skin beauties.
Aurora |
Lasting power
It lasts for about 4 to 5 hours without eating anything greasy.
Finish
It dries to a glossy finish which is not at all sticky. Also it does not dry completely like a stain.
It does transfer a bit.
Smell
I don't like how it smells. But it goes away after some time and is not very over powering.
Do I like it?
Yes I like Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers as there are some great shades for Indian skin tones. From the price point, these are a must try.
Will I repurchase?
Maybe.. Some other shades from this range.
Do I recommend it?
Yes... You should give it a try.
My ratings- 3/5
Until next time
Take care and wear your smile..
